Hi! I’m Sally!

My name is Sally Mohr, from Federal Way, WA. I am a mom to three boys (18, 9, and 7 as of May 2021), a wife to a supportive husband and wearer of many hats to the various communities I belong to. I currently work as a senior program manager at a large tech company in the area. Previous to this role, I worked in various capacities in both the private and public sectors over the past 20 years.

In Search of Growth

I became interested in pursuing the Master’s of Organizational Leadership program with Gonzaga University because I kept working alongside or meeting humans who led sustainable change management with their collaborative teams. The common theme seemed to be their education focused on Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.

I started this journey seeking knowledge, processes and methodologies to help our future leaders make workplaces and communities better for all (especially my own children). In many of my past jobs and volunteer organizations, I kept finding myself in toxic or stagnant cultures. The people who wanted to make a difference and improve the organization, either became disengaged or often left. Through inquiry, I realized this was because many grew tired of trying to move the needle when the systems put in place seemed to maintain the status quo.

In Search of Growth

During the past two years at Gonzaga, I have identified, questioned, revisited (time and time again), and continue to refine my leadership beliefs while striving to implement and practice what I’ve learned to grow as a leader to live a more congruent life. Ultimately, my goal is to lift up others by supporting, advising and being a catalyst of change for the next generations of leaders.

I’ve grown and learned so much about organizational leadership, myself (and how I sometimes unintentionally played a role in the toxicity), and how WE and the rest of the universe are intertwined.
